Creekside Entrance Sign Update

Today a few Creekside Board Members met with Alex from Future Forms at the corner of 72nd St E. and 49th Ave to discuss the exact positioning of the Creekside Entrance Sign. A group consensus was reached on placement and Alex stated an informal completion time of 6 to 8 weeks.

Future Forms was selected to produce the sign which will look similar in appearance to the Lakeside and Lakeside II entrance walls, but slightly smaller at 4 feet tall. It will be mounted atop a 1 foot landscaped berm. The approved estimated cost was under $5,000. The sign will not initially be illuminated. The Creekwood Master Board requested AMI to procure at least 3 bids for running new electrical lines as well as solar lighting options. To date, AMI has provided only 1 bid to run news lines with an estimate of nearly $5,000. However, the decision was made to move forward on installation of the new wall and continue to pursue further electrical bids including solar.

Lost Dog

A young male boxer showed up on my doorstep about
2:30 AM this morning.

He's in great shape, no dew claws, neutered, with a
multi-colored collar - no name tag.

I'd really appreciate any help in locating the
dog's owner.

Some More Vehicle Break Ins

Last week you may have noticed a stronger police presence in Creekside. Unfortunately this was reactionary as a few vehicles had been broken into on 73rd St. E. This was similar to the December break-ins; crimes of convenience targeting vehicles with unlocked doors. A homeowner notified the police, but unfortunately the Community eWatch did not send an e-mail to Creekwood residents. Please remember if you park outside your garage overnight, keep your vehicle doors locked and bring any valuable items, such as Ipods, Navigation systems and purses, in your home. Also, the Creekwood Neighborhood Watch is still getting established and signage will hopefully be mounted near the beginning of April.

March Monthly Creekwood Board of Directors Meeting

The regularly scheduled monthly board meeting for the Creekwood Board of Directors will be held on Monday, March 24 at 5:30 pm at the AMI offices on Town Center Parkway, in Bradenton. A map of the location is on the left. Click image to enlarge.

Clarification for Creekside Residents

Creekside community members should be aware of the following information in relations to the previous post regarding the Creekwood Annual meeting:

1. The lack of 10 day notice was challenged last week by a Creekwood community member.
2. The stamped date on any mail is considered the effective date in a court of law.
3. The 30 day discrepancy was discovered by AMI on Tuesday, March 11, during a conversation with the Creekwood Legal Counsel and the Creekwood President regarding the need to cancel the meeting due to the lack of 10 day notice.
4. The 10 day notice has never been challenged as a violation of a 30 day notification requirement in the existing history of Creekwood until discussed on Tuesday. It has still not been challenged. The lack of 10 day notification is what is being challenged.

The Creekwood Board will continue to work with AMI in rescheduling the Annual meeting and insure that at least a 30 day notification will be sent to all delegate voters.

AMI Response to the Cancellation of Saturday's Meeting

This morning the Creekwood Board and the Delegate voters from all the subassociations received the above e-mail from AMI related to the cancellation of Saturday's Creekwood Annual Meeting. Click on the image to read it.
I'm sure there are questions over some of the items on this list, so I recommend you contact your board member or delegate voter to discuss in further detail. You can also send comments or questions to: creeksidenews@yahoo.com

Creekwood Meeting CANCELED!!!

It was determined that AMI notifications to the Delegate Voters were mailed with only 9 day notice prior to the meeting and therefore violated our 10 day notice requirement necessary for the meeting to be valid. It was additionally determined that an oversight by our Legal counsel related to the proposed Amendment would prevent enforcement of the Amendment should it pass. Therefore the Creekwood Annual Meeting for this Saturday, March 15, was canceled today. Both issues will be addressed and the new meeting date will be announced. We will keep you posted.
